Making a fishing knife

Last Friday I received an order for a fish knife.
In this case, a knife blade from Finnish Lauri in stainless steel.

I sawed a piece of reindeer antler and started to make a hole so it fit the knife.

Then I chose the wood to use and sawed it into pieces.

Then I glued the knife blade together, with the reindeer piece, the different pieces of wood and then it was just a matter of waiting.

When the glue dried, it was time to start shaping the knife handle. For that I use rasps, files and sandpaper.
So the knife isn’t finished yet, but it’s slowly taking shape.

After more work with a rasp, file and sandpaper, the knife will soon be ready.

I will return with more pictures of this knife and the work with it.
